JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a graphic designer who:
- Combines design expertise with strong production management skills.
- Believes in the power of visuals to change minds, decisions, and behaviour.
- Can manage multiple design and production projects simultaneously.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Creative Execution
- Interpret and execute creative briefs in English.
- Develop and implement compelling design concepts.
- Create and oversee multimedia and visual work products (e.g., videos, infographics, publications).
- Leverage Adobe Creative Suite to maintain design quality and consistency.
Production & Project Management
- Manage multiple global production vendors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on brief, and within budget.
- Oversee production timelines and financial plans.
- Build and maintain a trusted network of vendors, agencies, and freelancers.
- Conduct quality control checks on designs and layouts to uphold high creative standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Five years of experience in graphic design and production management.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Experience in managing freelancers, vendors, and creative teams.
- Ability to balance creative execution with production logistics.
- Strong English comprehension skills to interpret creative briefs.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- University degree in a relevant discipline.
- Skills in motion graphics, video production, or brand design.
- Production management skills including vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, project management, and partnership management.
EXPECTED QUALITIES
- Professionalism and maturity.
- Demonstrated passion for green and inclusive growth.
- Familiarity with international development, ideally gained through your educational background or on-the-job experience with development organizations and international NGOs.
- Detail-oriented and organized, able to spot and correct small errors in copy and design work.
- Flexibility to handle both high-level project management and hands-on design work.
- Strong collaborator, capable of working effectively with vendors and internal teams.
